General Bonkers is the nom de guerre of a scientist. The project began as an attempt to create better soundtracks for science videos. It soon took on a life of its own.

The music is instrumental, composed with brain rhythms in mind. It is recorded with mostly analog gear and mostly live instruments. It’s “music for imaginary science”.
